Lincoln City Football Club, Sincil Bank, plays host to Father’s Day celebrations a day early with a free fun event for all the family on Saturday, 20 June, 10am to midday.
Dads can get active and enjoy a few hours with the children, mums and all the family with fun activities for all. There will be ball games, spacehoppers, rocket launching and much more.
Refreshments will include hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, cold drinks, tea and coffee. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Debbie Barnes, Assistant Director of Children’s Services, said: “It’s important for families to celebrate Father’s Day and for dads to enjoy their special occasion with the children. This is a great way for dads to take time out and have a bit of fun with their loved ones.”
“Fathers matter a great deal to their children and their families and this forms part of our Think Fathers campaign to encourage and raise awareness of the incredibly valuable role father’s play in their child’s lives. We’re developing our services with this in mind – offering more to Lincolnshire dads. This includes supporting the set up of new father’s groups across the county and the successful pilot of a new contact group for dads at Birchwood Children’s Centre in Lincoln.”
