An October date has been set for the Planning Inquiry into an application by Enertrag to erect wind turbines at Baumber near Horncastle.
The Inquiry is scheduled to be heard over three weeks (12 days in total) on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. The Inquiry begins on October 5 and takes place at 10am each day except on a Friday when it will begin at 9.30am. The Inquiry is taking place after East Lindsey District Council was unable to consider the application within the Government’s timeframe of 16 weeks due to the complexity of issues raised and outstanding Ecological matters. The Inquiry will take place at Minting Village Hall, Minting, Horncastle.
At the discretion of the Government’s Planning Inspector local people may be able to share their views as part of the Inquiry.
Enertrag has applied for Planning Permission for the eight turbines at Land at Chase Farm, Bardney Road, Baumber. The turbines would have a maximum blade tip height of 125m, a hub height of 80m and a blade diameter of 90m. Enertrag also wants to erect a switch house; install a temporary storage compound; construct new access tracks; install a hard standing for a crane and install underground cabling.
