Date for Mablethorpe Illuminations Announced

Mablethorpe's famous Summer Illuminations Switch-on will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2011, organisers have confirmed.

As well as an action packed evening of entertainment in the resort, including music, a procession, fireworks and a celebrity, there will be activities throughout the day for everyone to enjoy.

Town Centre Manager, Karen Froggatt, said: “The Illuminations Switch-on Day is an important part of the tourism offer in Mablethorpe and we know people come for this event. Although the programme is still to be announced we were keen to get this important date into the diaries of local people and potential visitors at the earliest opportunity.”

This 2011 Illuminations Switch-on has been organised by Mablethorpe Town Council, Mablethorpe Tourism Forum, Mablethorpe Area Partnership and East Lindsey District Council.
