The magic of Mozart will launch South Holland's first ever food festival on Friday 23rd July.
Deputy Lieutenant of Lincolnshire Petronella Keeling and the Latvian ambassador will be in the audience for the concert featuring Mozart's Magic Flute Overture and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.
This will be the third time that the London Mozart Players will have visited Spalding for a full orchestral concert at The South Holland Centre.
South Holland's Community Choir will also perform on the night. The choir sees the joining together of talents from Sing South Holland, Voices Unplugged and The South Holland Centre's Contemporary Youth Choir.
Pre-concert wine and canapés will be served at 6.30pm.
One aim of the Food Festival is to celebrate the many cultural and cuisine traditions that we now have in South Holland, as well as the contribution made to our food industry by guest workers from across Europe. To mark that contribution, invitations were sent to embassies in London and Poland, and Latvia will be represented by their ambassadors.
Portfolio holder for leisure, Cllr Nick Worth said: "This special event sees the joining together of a number of initiatives with performances from our Community Choir, the launch of the Food Festival and the unique experience of seeing and hearing the superb Mozart Players in full orchestral glory."
Tickets for the 7.30pm concert cost £15 (£13.50 concessions, £7 under 16s and students). To book call the Box Office on 01775 764777 or see the event details page on the South Holland Centre website.
