Two weekends of medieval events are coming to Lincoln Castle next week, featuring minstrels, falcons, archery and much more. An authentic trip back in time that will be fun for everyone.
The fun starts Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 August, as minstrels lead the medieval merriment with music, dancing, mask-making and interactive story-telling. Keep your eyes on the skies as our resident falconer hosts two flying displays each day, with Harris Hawk ‘Mac the Mischievous’ taking centre stage. If you would rather try something more hands-on, you can have a go at archery or jousting. Lincoln Castle is famous for its Victorian Prison, and over the weekend the prison will be brought to life with a re-enactment. The event takes place between 10am and 5pm both days. Prices are Adults £6, Child/Concession £4.30 and a family pass for two adults and up to three concessions is £16.
The next weekend on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August will transport visitors back to a medieval market, complete with bustling walkways , traders and craftsmen busy at work, and lots of medieval items to purchase. There will be many events to bring the castle to life, along with history displays and demonstrations of long-forgotten crafts. Prices are Adults £6, Child/Concession £4.30 and a family pass for two adults and up to three concessions is £16.
