'The Skegness Modified Car Show' is being staged by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership on Sunday 24 October on the North Parade car park.
Starting at 10am, the main attraction will be ‘Show and Shine’ where fifty show cars from around the country will be exhibited. The Xtreme Kars modified car club will also have a stand with cars from club members.
John Siddle from the road safety partnership, said:
"It is all too easy to brand young drivers, who are one of our most vulnerable road user groups, as ‘boy racers’. These young drivers have a passion for cars and for displaying their cars, and we want to encourage what they do as well as helping them understand the risks, and how to become better, safer drivers. By providing impartial advice, not forgetting they will become the role models of tomorrow, we can make the roads of Lincolnshire safer for all."
Also at the show there will be East Lindsey District Council’s community safety team and displays from fire and rescue, and the road safety partnership. All of these organisations are committed to ‘tackling not tolerating’ anti-social behaviour and reducing the number of people killed and seriously injured on Lincolnshire’s roads.
