Normal benefits and housing services will resume at the City of Lincoln Council on Tuesday 7th September.
Following an incident in the Property Shop area of City Hall, during which windows, offices and equipment were extensively damaged, the council has been operating limited benefits and housing services.
Although some repairs will remain incomplete, after a week of intensive work to restore the Property Shop area, services will be back to normal on Tuesday 7th September. In the meantime, the Property Shop Team will be available for appointments and emergency homelessness cases only, with a limited number of interview rooms available from Thursday 2nd September. The Benefits Team will continue to operate from the Customer Service Centre, with individual appointments being rescheduled where necessary.
Work includes the replacement of internal and external windows, display units, furniture and electronic equipment.
For housing and benefits enquiries, contact the City of Lincoln Council on 01522 881188.
