First Contact is making it even easier for older people to access services they need to help them live safely and independently with the launch of a new website.
First Contact Online is a website which contains information and advice on a range of subjects including fire safety, living with long term conditions and end of life.
The website has an integrated First Contact e-form to provide a smoother and more efficient referral pathway as partner agencies can refer using the e-form as opposed to a paper checklist. Customers can also self-refer or friends and family members will be able to refer on their behalf.
Councillor Graham Marsh, Executive Councillor for Adult Social Care, said: "This is another step in the right direction for this successful scheme which is making such a difference for vulnerable, older people. The online initiative will provide high quality information on a range of subjects and provide an easy-to-use alternative way for people to access services. It will also provide details of lunch clubs, social groups, activities in local areas and give a list of useful contacts."
