A major new hotel could soon be added to Lincoln under plans to revive a rundown site.
Proposals received at City Hall could see the five-storey, 131 bedroom hotel built on Broadgate in Lincoln. The housing developer behind the plans, Regal Executive Homes, aims to give a the former Save petrol station and O'Rourkes pub a complete facelift and bring new life to the run down area.
The development would assist with Lincoln's chronic shortage of hotel rooms available to business travellers and visitors alike.
Ian Harding, the agent for the plans, said in a letter to City of Lincoln Council that the hotel would be good for the area:
"The proposed development provides the opportunity to bring forward a solution to what has been a tear on the urban fabric of Lincoln for so long."
