All council-run car parks in Lincoln meet top safety standards after a police inspection.
Each of the 20 car parks managed by the City of Lincoln Council has been given the Park Mark for a further two years. Criteria for getting the Park Mark includes:
The Park Mark accreditation lasts for two years and this is the second year that all of the council’s car parks have come up to scratch.
Councillor Marc Jones, Portfolio Holder for Planning Policy and Regeneration at the City of Lincoln Council, said: "We put a lot of effort into making sure our car parks are safe, functional and welcoming places for those driving into Lincoln to work and visit, so we’re pleased but not surprised to have been awarded the Park Mark accreditation. This comes just a couple of months after our parking service was named ‘Best Off-Street Team’ at the British Parking Awards, so it’s clear that this is a great service – something to be proud of."
