Provisional figures released by Lincolnshire schools show that the overall results for the national key GCSE indicator of 5A*-C (including English and Maths) has increased again by 3% against a national increase of 2%.
A total of 59% of Lincolnshire students this year will have achieved 5A*-C including English and Maths.
More than 79% of students achieved 5A*-C this year, a rate of increase again greater than the national increase. These GCSE results confirm Lincolnshire‘s position as an outstanding local authority.
Three schools - Alford Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Caistor Grammar School and Horncastle Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School - achieved 100% at 5+A*-C including English and Maths.
Many schools achieved significantly above their national estimates for the 5+A*-C (including English and Maths) measure. Schools that achieved particularly well above expectations include Grantham Church High School, Grantham St Hugh’s C of E Mathematics & Computing College, Holbeach George Farmer Technology College, Long Sutton Peele School and Market Rasen De Aston School.
