Excitement is building ahead of the 7th Lincolnshire Sausage Festival. Organisers, who welcomed nearly 10,000 visitors last year, are expecting this year’s event to go off with a real bang and pull in many more.
The event, which takes place on Saturday 30th October, at Lincoln Castle – spilling out into Castle Hill - is masterminded by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, and backed by Tastes of Lincolnshire and Lincoln BIG.
This year, the crowd-puller will be bursting with even more fine flavours than usual, because 50 stallholders have already booked their places.
Lincolnshire’s own celebrity chef, Rachel Green will be doing cookery demonstrations and there will be street entertainment too – all for free!
And this year there will be another temptation to get people’s tastebuds tingling. Festival founder Peter Harrold, and his business partner Gaye Ilston , have created a special sauce and a relish to go with Lincolnshire’s distinctively different herb-filled sausages.
