Skegness SO Festival

SO Festival Skegness 2010 The Skegness SO Festival 2010 is an innovative and exciting cultural festival held in Skegness between 22nd and 25th July 2010.

Join us in Skegness for a fabulous summer of colour, light and incredible energy as the SO Festival 2010 transforms the town into an international arts venue featuring dance, visual art, street theatre, music and entertainment for all the family.

Over the four days from Thursday, July 22 through to Sunday, July 25, Skegness will add a colourful carnival of events to its traditional seaside pleasures as internationally renowned performers bring thrills, fun and excitement to the town’s streets and open spaces.

Prepare to be amazed at one of the East Midlands’ largest and most exciting free outdoor cultural events!

SO Festival 2010 kicks off with the huge open-air art experience, Traffic Art, that will literally bring a blaze of colour to the town’s streets. Artist Ra Kajol’s work will involve people as participants as well as viewers as he transforms 4,000 square metres of the town with a ‘colourscape’ painting reflecting the history of Skegness using local icons and images.

The four day festival aims to extend the success of the SO 2009 festival, held over two days by bringing more events and fun for young and old alike.
