Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue will be taking the purpose-built recruitment pod to Crowland Village Show on Saturday 27 June.
The recruitment pod gives visitors the opportunity to try out real tests of physical ability that are needed to be a firefighter.
Karl Foxall, Retained Liaison Officer, said:
“The recruitment pod is a fantastic way to see the abilities needed to work as a retained firefighter, and anyone can have a go and see how they measure up!
“We will also be encouraging people to apply to join the Service, particularly for Crowland and Market Deeping fire stations. Retained firefighters are highly valued and are vital to the service in Lincolnshire. Retained staff undertake full training, and often balance that with a day job too.”
The show is being held at Snowden Field on Thorney Road in Crowland.
