Top British session musicians in jazz and rock show
Music lovers are reminded to book tickets for ‘The Big Summer Hootenanny’ at the Lincolnshire Showground on Saturday, 27 June, featuring top session musicians who have played with the stars.
Lincolnshire Music Service has organized the spectacular celebration of the very best of British session musicians alongside the Lincolnshire Youth Jazz and Rock Academy.
For the headline act X-Factor vocal coaches Dave and Lisa Ladat will lead a group of musicians who have played for Tom Jones, Take That, Lionel Richie, David Bowie and Elvis Costello plus many more.
Peter Duxbury, Director of Children’s Services, said: “We are very proud of our music service which was awarded the National Music Council Jazz award during 2008 for their commitment to jazz education across the county. They promise to put on a truly great show here with top national session musicians joining our young jazz and rock talent for a spectacular celebration of top music. Don’t miss out – get your tickets now.”
The concert takes place in the Events Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground, Saturday, 27 June, starting at 7pm. Tickets are available from the Skegness Embassy Centre on 0845 6740505 (telephone booking only) or on the evening of the concert from the Events Centre. Adult tickets cost £10 or £8 for concessions, or accompanied school children get in free. This is a standing event.
